Today Microsoft has revealed some changes to their Skype application for mobiles.

The Skype app has been updated to make the app for mobile feel more modern, with some other changes to the software.

These changes have mostly been made to the Call Phones tab, which has been renamed to Calls and now allows you to make all sorts of calls, including Skype to Skype and video.

They also made some changes to voicemail and various other features.

Microsoft explained more with the following:

Starting with Android and coming to iOS soon after, the “Call phones” tab will become the “Calls” tab. From there, you’ll have access to fast, simple one-tap calling of all types—free Skype-to-Skype audio or video calls, as well as calls to mobile or landline numbers that require you to use Skype Credit. Purchasing Skype Credit will become a lot simpler too. So you’ll benefit from being able to call any group or individual from a single place, with a single tap.
