[Update] Earlier this month, Microsoft revealed that they would soon be hosting a hardware focused event soon.

That day is today (October 26th), when Microsoft is set to reveal a number of new hardware products, and most likely some brand new Surface hardware.

You can watch the event live on Microsoft’s website tomorrow. You can also watch it via the video embed below.

In the meantime, you can read our original story about the event below.

[Original Story] Today Microsoft sent invites to the media for a hardware-focused event that they are planning for the autumn.

According to those invites, the event will be hosted in New York City on October 26th, but aside from that, it doesn’t reveal much else aside from the tagline “Imagine what you’ll do”.

ZDNet has reported some extras, stating that the theme of the event will be about the next chapter for Windows, which could mean that we may see some new Windows announcements, and quite possible some new Windows-based hardware to go alongside it.

Previously, it has been claimed that Microsoft is planning to release a set of all-in-one PC desktops, which could be very interesting to see and could happen at this late October hardware event.

According to these previous reports, the desktops will feature the Surface brand and will be available in the 21-inch, 24-inch, and 27-inch screen sizes.

Currently, it is said that they are going by the codename Cardinal.

It’s likely that these all-in-ones will feature some tech to make them better for touch-interactions, alongside the Perceptive Pixel tech that they put in the Surface Hub.

We could also see some third-party devices at the event, with a focus on devices that have been built for use with Windows 10.

We could also see some announcements for new Surface tablets, possibly even updates to the current line up.

As there’s nothing official just yet, we can’t be sure about what they will announce, but we will be sure to let you know about all of that when we do.
