Microsoft has today announced that their new wearable, the Microsoft Band is launching in the UK this week after previously launching in the US last year.

To start with Microsoft will be taking pre-orders for the Microsoft Band in the UK, making it available to pre-order from the Microsoft Store at the price of £169.99.

Shortly after which the device will officially launch in the UK on April 15th 2015.

In terms of specs, the Microsoft Band features a 1.4 inch display that curves around the smart band and features a 320 x 106 pixel resolution. That is joined by a 100 mAh battery and a total of 10 sensors for tracking of activities and more.

The device will also be compatible with Windows Phone, Android and iOS devices, but in particular smartphones or tablets that run either Windows Phone 8.1 or above, Android 4.3 or above and iOS 7.1 and above.

Once connected the device will not only allow you to track your fitness regime, but also show notifications for calls, texts, emails and much more.
