Over the last few months there has been a number of rumours released that are based on one thing, the Windows 9 update, and finally we have something official to tell you.

Microsoft has finally confirmed that they will be hosting an event for the unveiling of their next OS, Windows 9 on September 30th.

This news was confirmed in a press invite which states that the event will take place in San Francisco at the end of the month, with the statement: “Join us to hear about what is next for Windows and Enterprise”.

This cleaarly means that Microsoft will be showing off at least two versions of the update at the show, one for Enterpirse and the other for normal Windows users. This also links to a rumour which stated that the company will show of a Windows technical Preview during the event, a rumour that has been backed up by the release of numerous leaked images.

According to other rumours Windows 9 will come with a replaced Start Menu, a new virtual desktops feature and also a Notification Center, plus a number of changes to the user interface.

However as of yet we have nothing official, however we should have the official stuff and September 30th, so make sure to keep your browser locked to our homepage.
