Soon another version of Minecraft will be launched, called Minecraft Education Edition, it has been designed for use in the classroom, specifically meeting the needs of educators.
This comes after MinecraftEdu was launched back in 2011, bringing help for educators to help teach a range of subjects, from math to physics in more than 40 countries.
Since that time, MinecraftEdu has been retooling and rebranding itself to this new edition, which Microsoft will be launching for students and teachers on November 1st.
The Early Access edition of this software will remain free until November, after which the service will be priced at $5 a membership per user.
It will require OS X El Captin or Windows 10, alongside a link to an Office 365 account, which is free.
All existing MinecraftEdu customers will get their first year for free.
