After being leaked in a listed on the PEGI page back in June, but without confirmation from Nintendo, Majang has this week finally announced that Minecraft is making its way to the Wii U console.

And not only that it will also come with support for a number of contact packs.

These will be bundled with the Wii U version, and will include six of the game’s “most popular add-on packs”, alongside the addition of a new Festive mash-up pack.

Mojang has also stated that they will be adding more content packs and free updates to the core game, and the game itself will include support for the Gamepad.

Minecraft will be coming to the Wii U eShop on December 17 for $30.
