During the Oculus Connect 2 event this week Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus went on stage to announce that Minecraft VR will be supported by the Oculus Rift VR headset.

Set to launch during the Spring months of 2016, it will support Xbox One controllers and allow players to explore the world of Minecraft in virtual reality.

Currently Microsoft is in the process of adding official virtual reality support for the Oculus VR headset, allowing it to be compatible with the latest Windows 10 operating system.

Once ready Minecraft VR will ship in a special Windows 10 edition and will be launched at the same time as the Oculus Rift VR headset.

As of yet we don’t have much more information then that, but we will let you know if and when we hear more.
