Misfit has today unveiled a new budget activity tracker called Flash Link, available for just $19.99 it will come in several colours and a will be fitted with a companion clip, allowing you to simply clip the tracker on an item of clothing to get going.

And it also doubles up as a “smart button” when connected to Misfit’s new Link app.

Out now, the Link app can be used to control not only the new Flash Link, but also the fitness and sleep monitor, Misflit Flash that can track steps, sleep, cycling, swimming, calories burned and more.

Misfit also wants the Link app to be used with Flash to connect with other applications, providing an example where you would take a selfie with you phone camera via the smart button. Misfit also says that it could be used to control streaming services or music players like Spotify or Apple Music.

They also want to add functionality for IFTTT and Logitech Harmony soon.

The Misfit Link application is be available for iOS now and will be released for Android next month.

Misfit also reduced the cost of Shine from $99.99 to $69.99 and Flash from $49.99 to $29.99.
