MLG has today announced that they will be bringing the Call of Duty tournament to the X Games in Austin this June, for the first time ever, creating the first of what we hope to be many, MLG X Games Invitational tournaments, allowing players of Call of Duty to compete for their very own X Games medals.

The tournament will be played on the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, taking place over the three-day festival, alongside the reoccurring attendees in skateboarding, BMX and much more.

The event will host eight participants in total, consisting of the top three finishers of the 2014 Call of Duty: Championship last month (CompLexity, EnVyUs and OpTic Gaming), alongside the top five Ghosts teams in the MLG Pro Points rankings.

To watch, gamers can tune into the MLG X Games Invitational livestream on the MLG website or on their Android, iOS or Xbox 360 applications. Viewers can also watch in person, available for $89 for the whole event, or in a $189 package from MLG, granting them reserved seating for the tournament, a backstage tout, the opportunity to meet players, and a gift bag.

Te event will kick off from June 6th to June 8th at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, USA.
