A new programming language has hit Kickstarter this week.

Called Modkit.io, it is a new language that has been designed to bring the Internet of Things to everyone according to its developers.

Inspired by the already existing Scratch platform, Modkit.io is said to be familiar to anyone who has used the Scratch IDE and language, whilst providing more features for the user to take advantage of, with an “intuitive, multithreaded and event-driven syntax”.

It also supports the micro-controller framework called Wiring.
