It was quite some time ago that Apple Pay launched for iPhone and iPad users in the UK, but only with support for a small selection of banks, with a few missing.

Today the list of missing banks has been decreased, with two more banks now supporting Apple Pay in the UK.

These two new banks are Lloyds Bank and Halifax.

These join the new total of 11 supported banks in the UK which now include:

  •  American Express
  • First Direct
  • HSBC
  • Halifax
  • Lloyds
  • NatWest
  • NationWide
  • MBNA
  • Royal Bank of Scotland
  • Santander
  • Ulster

If you have an account with any of these banks you can register your card with Apple Pay by heading over to the Settings and then to Apple Pay & Wallet.

As of yet both Barclays and TSB have not announced an exact launch date for their support of the mobile payments system.
