This week MSI announced the launch of a brand new gaming-focused motherboard called the MSI X299M Gaming Pro Carbon AC.

MSI says that this board will be the world’s fastest micro-ATX X299 motherboard, which has yet to be seen but is definitely possible.

In terms of specifications, the motherboard packs an Intel LGA Socket 2066, which offers up to 44 PCIe lanes, support for Quad Channel DDR4 RAM, and a design that is focused towards the Intel Skylake-X processors.

It also comes with TWIN TURBO M.2, with PCI-E Gen3 x4 performance with transfer speeds up to 64 Gb/s for the latest SSDs, and MSI’s patented M.2 Shield V2, which is marketed as the best thermal solution that aims to keep M.2 devices safe and cool.

On tiop of that, there’s a ASMedia 3142 USB 3.1 controller with a ASMedia ASM2142 USB 3.1 Gen2 controller. and a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C ready on front USB panel of the motherboard.

Oh and it has a bunch of LED of course.
