After originally announcing them back in September 2012, MSI has today decided to release an updated version of the GX60 and GX70 Destroyer gaming notebooks, now featuring some new hardware.

Both of the updated versions now have AMD graphics, with a new AMD R9-M290X GPU under the hood that offers AMD Mantle Graphics technology, that is said to improve gaming performance whilst delivering high-resolution graphics and better gameplay.

Aside from that, the notebook also feature an AMD A10-5750 processor that operates at 2.3-3.5GHz, as well as running Windows 8.1 with a 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution.

There’s also 1TB of internal storage, with Killer Game networking, as well as backlit keyboards and programmable colour keys.

The only real difference between the two being the screen size, the GX70 has a 17.3 inch screen while the GX60 has a 15.6 inch screen, the GX70 Destroyer also has 12GB of RAM, whilst the GX60 has 8GB, and to top it all off, the GX70 also has a Blu-ray drive.

The GX70 will be available for $1399.99 in the US, whilst the GX60 will be $1299.99.
