Microsoft’s Major Nelson posted some news on a Reddit post this week, revealing a new feature for backwards compatibility.

This news is that the Microsoft development team has today expanded the feature with new support for multi-disc games, which means that you can now play any supported Xbox One game that uses more than one disc, this can include games like Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Lost Odyssey and more.

This comes after the launch of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut, which was the first multi-disc backwards compatible game to be rolled out.

Here’s what Major Nelson said in his Reddit post:

I can confirm that the BC team has done work to support multi disc scenarios. Be sure to thank the BC engineers.

At the moment, the Xbox One only supports a few multi-disc Xbox 360 games, but you can expect to see more added over time.
