Shortly after Apple sent out invites for its press event on September 9th MacRUmours posted an article with an image of a mysterious building that Apple are covering up at the Flint Center ahead of the event.

The Flint Center for the Performing Arts at De Anza College in Cupertino is the location that Apple will be hosting the event, which is the first time the company hasn’t hosted the event at the Moscone Center since Steve Jobs introduced the original Mac 30 years ago.

This could mean that Apple may be working on something special for the Mac, and that indeed seems to be true as a massive structure has now been spotted on the campus. Kept behind a white barricade.

A reader of MacRumours told the site that the building looks to span a total of three stories and is under the protection of a number of security guards.

And that’s about all we know about the mysterious building, however we expect that it should be something exciting, possibly even for Apple’s new HomeKit devices.

We will get all the official stuff for you on September 9th.
