In the UK, we have had Netflix for a while now which I have been using since launch, but one thing we didn’t get up to know is an app for Windows Phone devices. Finally, however Netflix has released a new app for users and according to a spokeswoman all Windows Phone users should have it within 48 hours:

“We have pushed the App to the Windows Phone Marketplace. Actual availability for each and every user can take up to 48 hours according to Microsoft… so on its way imminently.”

The reason for its delay is “due to technical differences in the way Netflix delivered films on its service in the US and around the world.” However that doesn’t matter anymore as it is finally been released, you can download the app for free as soon as you can find it in the marketplace, but in order to access its content you will need a Netflix subscription which is around £6 a month here in the UK, but of course, if you’re a new customer you can also get a 30 day free trial.

Let us know what you think about this in the comments below, Are you pleased to be able to access Netflix on your WP device?
