In one of the first steps to the move from HD to 4K, Netflix has today announced that Breaking Bad will now be available to stream in full Ultra HD 4K.

The announcement comes after the service announced that it would be doing this last month, and now finally the remastering of the series has now been completed.

Breaking Bad is a series owned by Sony, had has been licensed to Netflix for airing, and is now available in Full 4K resolution with 5.1 surround sound, which is available everywhere Netflix is according to the journalist Joris Evers.

This adds to the service’s other 4K content, the most notable of which is House of Cards season two which is also available in Ultra 4K, with more original programmes coming to the service soon.

Currently Netflix 4K content is available to users at no extra charge, but it can only be watched through 4K television sets with the HEVC codec.
