Today Netgear announced the launch of a brand new security camera for your smart home.

It’s called the Netgear Arlo Pro II and will take over from the original Arlo Pro security camera (you can read our review of that camera here) and build upon it with Full HD 1080p video recording and a 130-degree field of view.

Aside from the that, the camera features many of the same features as the original Arlo Pro with a built-in speaker and microphone that allows for two-way communication.

It also features a weather-resistant design that allows it to be used pretty much anywhere, including the great outdoors.

The design is also similar to the original camera with a white plastic finish and a focus on wireless capabilities.

Netgear explained more with the following:

The Arlo Pro 2 weather-resistant cameras can be placed just about anywhere. With a sleek, compact design and inconspicuous profile, the Arlo Pro 2 Wire-Free Security Camera System keeps a discreet yet vigilant eye on your home and business, loved ones, employees, pets, and visitors, both indoors and out– from the front porch to the back garden through rain, snow or sunshine. And with the Arlo Solar Panel (sold separately), the rechargeable batteries can be kept fully charged with only a few days of full sunlight.

You can pick up the Netgear Arlo Pro II in the US today for $219.99.

There’s also a pack available that includes two Arlo II cameras and the base station for $479.99.
