Today Amazon has released an updated version of the Fire TV Stick in the UK.

This new version was launched in the US earlier last year, featuring a new quad-core processor and more stable and stronger 802.11ac WiFi, along with a new Fire TV UI and an Alexa Voice Remote bundled with the new stick.

This remote is particularly interested because it allows you to search with speech as well as control Alexa, right from the remote, with the ability to do anything Echo can do, through your TV.

Aside from that, the new Fire TV Stick is similar to the previous version, featuring an HDMI jack at the end and a USB power socket on the side.

It also works with the same apps, including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and much more, with 1080p video playback.
