It seems as though Apple’s new MacBook Pro with Retina display may be a bit faster, after benchmarks have already been released onto GeekBench’s system, showing both the new 13 inch and the 15 inch model as slightly faster.

Scoring between 5 and 10 higher scores than last years model, Apple’ claims that the new Pro will have up to 90 percent faster graphics may be true.

Something that is likely due to the introduction of the new Intel Haswell processors in the system, alongside some of the performance upgrades in OS X Mavericks.

The new 15 inch model will feature up to 8 hours of battery, and can be fitted with a discrete graphics card from NVIDIA for extra power, something that isn’t an option with the 13 inch model, but that model does have up to 9 hours of battery life.

Surprisingly, dispute this Apple have actually lowered the price of both systems by about £200.
