Samsung first unveiled their latest portable 360-degree camera at MWC 2017 earlier this year but despite that, we haven’t heard about a released date until today.

Today Samsung revealed this release date, stating that the new version of the Samsung Gear 360 camera will be launched in the UK this week.

It will be launched on Friday, May 12th, 2017 but it is already available to pre-order, should you want to do that.

And if you pre-order it before May 11th then Samsung will be shipping the camera to you ahead of that May 12th release date.

When you do receive it, you will get a new 360-degree camera that is capable of recording full 360-degree footage at up to a 4K resolution.

To capture it, the camera features two 8.4 megapixel sensors.

To top that off, the Gear 360 also comes with Bluetooth 4.1 in-built.

You can pre-order the new Gear 360 from Samsung today for £219, for which you will also get a free 128GB memory card.
