The Nexus 5 is currently only available in black and white, but it looks as though Google may soon release a red version of the smartphone, as according to one Twitter user @atyomsstar, who posted a set of images that shown the red version of the Nexus 5 in red.

There’s no details of the exact release date for the smartphone, and there’s still no official news about the color variation, despite rumours about colour variations floating around for some time.

The smartphone should feature the same specifications as the original, featuring a 4.95 inch display with a 1080p resolution, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of storage, an 8MP camera with optical image stabilisation, a 2,300mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed.

The handset should also retail for the usual $349 for the 16GB version in the US and $399 for the 32GB version.
