CES 2013 has been a huge year for cameras I cannot count the amount of articles I have written over the last few days that had something to do with a camera, and here’s yet another one as Nikon have just announced the new Coolpix S6500 and Coolpix S2700 compact cameras to join their line-up
The S6500 packs a 16 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor, with a 25-300mm range, mac aperture of f/3.1 and a 12x optical zoom lens, there’s also built in WiFi allowing you to instantly share images and use your Android smartphone or iPhone to control it remotely.
There’s also a 3 inch 460k dot display on the back.
The Collpix S6500 will be exclusive to DSGI in the UK, which includes Currys and PC World and will be available in silver, black, white, red and orange, pricing is still unknown however and will not be released till February 7tth.
Nikon also announced the Coolpix S2700 during the show which includes a 16 megapixel CCD sensor, 6x optical zoom and max aperture of f/3.5.
