Nikon has today announced their latest camera to take over from the L610, called the Nikon Coolpix L620 it will sport the same form factor as the previous model but with a new 18 megapixel back-side illuminated sensor.

Alongside which it will also sport a 14x optical zoom, a wide-angle 25mm  lens, lens-shift vibration reduction, optical image stabilisation, 1080p movie capture and target finding autofocus, which will auto detect subjects to focus on as you press the shutter button.

Powered by AA batteries the Nikon L620 will be priced at £200, available in black or red from September.
