Just to top of their Coolpix line, Nikon has just unveiled the new Coolpix S9700, which is an update to the S9500 that is aimed for the travel user who still wants the zoom.

Featuring a 30x optical zoom lens that offers a 25-750m equivalent zoom range, the S9700 is perfect for capturing those packed shots that many other cameras struggle with, and even allows for long-range shoots that still keep their detail.

Also fitted into the camera is a 16MP sensor, with 5-axis hybrid vibration reduction, GPS for geotagging image, built-in Wi-Fi and a small design hat makes it a great point-and-shoot option for the traveller.

There’s also a second option, the S9600 which features similar specs but with a 24x optical zoom lens instead.

The Nikon Coolpix S9700 and the S9600 will be available in black, red and white at the end of February, the S9700 will be priced at £330, while the S9600 will be priced at £250.
