Alongside the slurry of other camera announcements, Nikon has today released the Coolpix AW120, which is a tough waterproof travel camera designed to be taken to some of the toughest terrains on the planet.

Featuring a 16 megapixel sensor, with a 24mm f/2.8 lens and 5x optical zoom, the AW120 has been designed to get some great shots of wild terrains and even objects underwater, as the AW120 can go as far as 18-metres under water, as well as surivive 2 metre drops and withstand cold to minus 10 degrees Celsius.

There’s also built-in GPS for geo-tagging, GLONASS, world maps and a compass, as well as video recording at 1080p/60i, and both a slow and fast motion shooting mode that can take shots between 15-240fps.

On the back you will also find a 3 inch 921k-dot OLED screen.

The Nikon Coolpix AW120 will be available in black, blue, orange and camouflage at the end of February, priced £330.
