Nikon has today unveiled the latest addition to their superzoom series, dubbed the Nikon Coolpix P610, the new superzoom features some pretty impressive specs, including a 60x optical zoom and a 24-1440mm equivalent zoom.

There’s also the same 16 megapixel sensor as was in its predecessor.

The new thing is the addition of NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity that allows users to share pictures with compatible smartphones easily.

There’s also a 921k-dot RGBW screen that includes a white dot layer to make the red, green and blue layers brighter.

There’s also a vary-angle bracket that allows the display to be moved into a number of positions, allowing for easier work at various angles.

On top of all of this, the Coolpix P610 also features Dual Detect Optical VR, or rather image stabilisation there’s also a built-in electronic viewfinder.

On top of all of this the camera also features GPS and GlONASS for geo-tagging.

The Nikon Coolpix P610 will launch this month for £339, alongside the Coolpix L840 which has a 38x optical zoom and a simpler design for £210.
