Today Nintendo revealed some interesting news about the next addition to the Pokemon game series.

They have yet to confirm any official sales figures, however, today they did reveal that they have shipped more than 10 million copies of the new Pokemon Sun and Moon game.

Of course, there is a huge difference between the two.

Shipments are simply the amount of units that Nintendo have shipped, but they may not have sold to customers at all, that said, a larger shipment number could hint at larger orders from retailers who are expecting higher demand, and thus higher sales, or they could have done that to make us think that.

10 million units is also 1.5 times bigger than the launch shipment volume of Pokemon X and Y, meaning that Sun and Moon could easily become the biggest release of any Nintendo 3DS game in history.

When we hear more about the numbers we will let you know.
