This week Nixon announced the launch of a brand new Android Wear smartwatch.

Called the Nixon Mission, it is available to pre-order today and is set to be shipped on October 10th. Nixon designed it to be extremely rugged, with a design that is ready for wet environments.

Nixon is aiming the Mission directly at surfers and snowboarders, fitting it out with the capability of showing alerts about surf and snow conditions, as well as the ability to track sessions.

It features a polycarbonate frame with a stainless steel bezel and case back, as well as a Gorilla Glass topping on the smartwatches 1.39-inch, 400 x 400 pixel circular touchscreen display.

That display also comes with an ambient light sensor.

The smartwatch is also water resistant up to 100 meters, and Nixon says that the touchscreen will work when it is wet.

Check it out via the video below, you can also find out more at the source link below that.

It is available via that source link for pre-order now from £339.
