According to a report from The Verge that was released today, HMD will be announcing another new smartphone next month.

According to the report, this will be Nokia’s first true flagship since coming back under the HMD Global ownership and will reportedly be called the Nokia 8.

This new smartphone will reportedly be added to their current range of Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 3, 5, and 6 and will bring some pretty impressive specifications alongside it.

Rumours suggest that these specifications will include a 5.3-inch display with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, a 13MP dual rear-facing camera with Zeiss optics on top (yes Zeiss and Nokia are coming back!), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and 4GB of RAM.

We have also heard that the Nokia 8 will have three colour options to choose from that include Blue, Grey, and Copper and will be priced at $675 in the US.

Unfortunately, we don’t know how much of this is fact just yet and we don’t know what countries it will actually launch in, however, we should hear more about that soon.

HMD has already scheduled a press event in London for August 16th at 7:30AM, so it’s likely that we will hear more about it then, at which point we will update you.
