If you have recently heard about the Lumia’s battery issues you may have been holding off running to your nearest phone shop to pick up one, well hold off no longer as Nokia have finally released a new update which according to Nokia will bring “significant improvements in battery performance and power management.”. A little while ago we actually saw this update in a Vodaphone branded variant, which brought a very impressive 3x battery life improvement, as well as a tweak in the phones speakers for better voice quality.

But don’t get to excited as Nokia say they will be rolling the update out slowly during the next 4 weeks:

But before you get all excited and reach out for that cable to connect your Lumia 800 to your Mac or PC, there’s just one more thing to know: the update will not span the globe all at once. It will be queued up over 4 weeks, beginning today (28 March) for the first batch. Subsequent phased updates will be on 4, 11 and 18 April. Click here to see if the update is available for your country or your operator.
