Nokia has this week released their financial results for the fourth quarter of 2014.

What makes the results interesting is that it shows how well the company has been doing since they sold off their mobile phone business to Microsoft, allowing Microsoft to form Microsoft Devices.

This is shown within the report, which states that Nokia saw an increase in its operating profits by a massive 66 percent in quarter four when compared to the same quarter of the previous year, with an total operating profit for the quarter of $512 million.

Nokia also explained their plans for the future with the following statement:

Looking ahead, while 2014 was a year of reinvention, we see 2015 as a year of execution. We are already moving fast, with HERE sharpening its strategic focus, Nokia Technologies accelerating its licensing and innovation activities, and Nokia Networks increasing its momentum in growth areas including virtualization and telco cloud.

It will certainly be interesting to see what comes from Nokia in the future, and we hope that they continue to stay prosperous.
