Barnes & Noble seem to have gone mad, slashing the price of their Nook Simple Touch eReader to the incredibly low price of £29, down from £79, as well as the Simple Touch Glowlight eReader which has been reduced to £69, down from £109, the Nook HD to £129 and the Nook HD to £179.

These incredible prices might seem like a marketing ploy (which they may well be), but actually they are part of the get London Reading initiative, and have been set after B&N partnered with the London Evening Standard and Beanstalk.

As part of this initiative, they will also be giving 1,000 Nook eBook readers to various schools across the country.

If you want to take advantage of these deals you can do at, Argos, Asda, Blackwell’s, Foyles, Currys and PC World, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s or Very, you might want to hurry up however, as this deal will only last for a limited period.
