If your on O2 then last week you might have found yourself effected by a loss of service, which lasted an entire day and caused some customers to feel unhappy with the service, O2 has now contacted all of their customers directly and by way of apology is giving out freebies to say sorry.

Before we get onto the free stuff we just want to let you know the reason for the disruption, which O2 has answered with this statement:

“We have investigated what caused last week’s network disruption and can now confirm that we experienced an unprecedented software fault on the register that works to connect mobile devices to our network. The network is now stable and we are already implementing changes to mitigate  the risk of this happening again.”

Now onto the main part of the article and the main reason you came here, to see whats free, the first freebie will be given to all Pay Monthly customers who will receive 10% of their September bill, which O2 says is equivalent to 3 days given back, if you’re on Pay as You Go however you will still receive 100% extra on your first top-up in September.

And to sweeten the deal a bit more, O2 are also giving everyone on O2 a free £10 voucher to spend in store, which can redeemed via the O2 Priority Moments app or at www.o2.co.uk/priority from the 1st till the 30th of September, and will have no minimum spend.
