O2 and Vodafone have confirmed that they will begin the roll out of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to customers running on a Samsung Galaxy S III from today.

The news from O2 was revealed on their community forum, within which one of the members of the Social Media Team said the following;

“From tomorrow, 19th October ’12, you’ll be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.”

Vodafone also revealed the news on its forum, stating that it will be rolling the update from Monday:”Great news, the Android 4.1 JellyBean update will be made available for Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets purchased from Vodafone on Monday.”

However both of these carriers have been beaten by Three who released the update a few days ago giving S3 owners in the UK their first taste of Jelly Bean.

There’s no news from, EE, T-Mobile, Orange or Virgin Media just yet but well let you ow when they do.
