Ofcom has today confirmed the UK networks to be taking part in the 4G Auction in January 2013, which will include the likes of Telefonica (O2), Vodafone, EE and Hutchison which if you don’t know run Three.

However there’s also a couple more names we didn’t expect gunning for a piece of the 800MHz and 2.6GHz LTE spectrum, including Niche Spectrum Ventures (BT), HKT and MLL.

It’s likely that all of these names will get a piece of the pie, but I think after the auction we might see a few more networks start to team up much like Orange and T-Mobile did with the new EE network.
