Its been a long time coming for the UK to get its hands on 4G technology, but thankfully we are starting to get closer as Ofcom have announced that their auction for mobile services to use this spectrum will start in “early 2013”,  which will be followed by final determinations made around mid-year and LTE services actually launched at the end of the year.

You can expect all of the big guns to be there including, Vodafone, Telefónica (O2), and Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile). Who will most likely get a reserved portion of the airwaves, but the one who gets the most is certain to dominate the 4G and probably the entire mobile phone market in the near future.
