Olympus has today announced their latest superzoom to hit the market, dubbed the Stylus SP-100EE, it is the world’s first superzoom to feature a dot-sight crosshair targeting system, that reportedly assists you when capturing subjects at a distance, and is the reason for its “Eagle Eye” nickname.

Alongside that the camera also has a 50x optical zoom with a 24-1200mm equivalent focal length, lens-based image stabilisation, 920k-dot electronic viewfinder, with a separate screen for the dot-sight feature, as well as a 3-inch LCD display to the back.

There’s also a 16 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor, with the latest TruePic VII image processing engine, and the ability to capture 1080p 60fps video at full resolution, as well as a 7.1 fps burst mode.

The Olympus SP-100EE will be available from March for £349.
