Today has most definitely been the day of new camera releases as Olympus has just announced their new superzoom camera, the Olympus SP-820UZ, which offers a 40x optical with a 22.4-896mm wide-angle lens.

On the rear of the camera there is a 3-inch screen allowing you to review your shoots, and on the front is that huge lens which includes a 14 megapixel CMOS sensor, the camera also includes ‘Magic Filters’ which give you more options than regular shooting features.

There’s also a high-speed shooting mode as well as a slow-mo mode for video capture, as ou can see there’s not many controls on the body itself so you will have to use thee mode dial on top for most of your settings.

The SP-820UZ will be available for late October for £279.99.
