We have heard about the next OnePlus smartphone for some time now, it has been rumoured as both the OnePlus 4 and the OnePlus 5.

We have heard that OnePlus will be skipping the number 4 in favour of the number 5 and it looks as though that is true as the name OnePlus 5 has been confirmed by OnePlus in a post on the website Weibo.

This image shows the words “Hello 5” along with the tagline “Hey Summer!, Give me five!”.

Although this isn’t a full confirmation of the OnePlus 5, it is pretty close to one as it shows the number 5 a few times, the words “Hey Summer” might also confirm that the handset will be launched at some point in the summer of this year.

We don’t know much about the handset yet and there’s no confirmation of these features yet but we do have rumours.

These rumours suggest that the OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution.

We have also heard that it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, along with 6GB of RAM, and either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

Some reports have also suggested that the smartphone will feature a dual front-facing camera, along with a rear-facing camera that has a dual LED flash.

We don’t have any official details yet, however, as soon as we hear more we will update you.
