Onkyo has today unveiled a new lineup of A/V receivers that will be included in their 2016 range.
The new lineup consists of four new receivers, all of which have support for 4K content and focus mainly on multiroom audio, with three of the receivers featuring Blackfire’s FireConnect, which allows any audio source connected to the receiver to be sent to another FireConnect compatible source.
The biggest of the three speakers is the TX-NR757, which is a 7.2 channel network receiver that can offer 180 watts of sound, with high-resolution audio through a AKM 384KHz/32-bit D/A converter. It also has support for Bluetooth, AirPlay and Wi-Fi connectivity, with streaming support for services like Spotify, Pandora, Google Cast and FireConnect.
The TX-NR656 & TX-NR555 have these same connectivity options, and features, but with less power.
The TX-NR656 has 170 watts of audio power per channel, and the TX-NR656 has 140 watts of audio power per channel.
The TX-SR353 is the smallest of the three, but still offers support for 4K video, HDR, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding. It also has four HDCP 2.0 enabled HDMI inputs. It also has 5.1 channels, with Bluetooth connectivity and 140 watts of audio power per channel.
The TX-NR656, TX-NR555, and TX-SR353 will be available to purchase from mid-April, and the TX-NR757 will be released in May.
