In a move a lot of annoyed mobile gamers might be happy with, OpenFeint will be shutting down its servers on December 14th 2012 or later.

This means that all apps that currently use the service will have to remove it as any network calls after the shutdown date will be nonfunctional, which may result in “service disruptions to your game and a poor player experience”.

All data stored in the services servers will be lost, in order to help stop this the company is recommending developers to migrate their game to the GREE service in order to back up, achievement definitions, screenshots, leaderboards and game descriptions can all be uploaded after signing up.
