Orbitsound has today announced a couple of new additions to its M range, dubbed the M9 and M12 both of them have been designed with an eco-friendly material that comes with a stylish bamboo finish. Alongside that both models will also take advantage of Orbitsound’s airSOUND technology, allowing for enhanced audio definition.

Both the M9 and M12 have also been designed to fit in any environment, using a handcrafted bamboo wood material, that allows for good mid-range and low-range overtones without distorting harmonics or produccing echos according to the company.

They say this is down to the lightness and rigidity of the wood, which is reportedly better suited to reproducing signals.

In terms of set-up, the soundbars can be connected to any TV with an optical cable port, once connected it can then play sound from anything that is connected to that TV, including cable boxes, Blue-ray players and games console.

In terms of individual specs, the Orbitsound M9 is sized at 90 x 300 x 100m, and features a wireless subwoofer, that together with the soundbar itself can produce 200 watts of sound. The Orbitsound M12 is a little wider at 90 x 600 x 100mm, also featuring a wireless subwoofer, it can produce 300 watts of sound.

Both the M9 and the M12 will be available exclusively from John Lewis in May 2014, the M9 will be priced at £399.95 and the M12 will be set at £499.95.
