For a while now the tech blogging community has all thought that someday Apple will bring the retina technology they deployed into heir iPhones into their Mac range. Well, we may have just been proved right as some evidence with developer builds of OS X 10.7.3 shows Apple’s continued work with ‘HiDPI modes’.

Alongside this there has been recent claims that Apple is going to release a new MacBook Pro which will offer a resolution of 2880 x 1800 by next year, within the developer builds a few eagle-eyed viewers spotted a new option in the ‘Get Info’ window for applications which allows you to ‘Open in HiDPI mode’.

What do you think? Will Apple release their next generation of Macs with Retina screens?
