Overwatch was launched just under two weeks ago on May 24th, 2016, but in that time, it has already achieved some pretty cool goals.

This news was revealed by Blizzard earlier today and is that Overwatch already has over 7 million registered players, a pretty impressive number for such a new game.

They also revealed that over 9.7 million players took part in the open beta for the game, which shows that the majority of players who played the beta probably picked up the game at release.

However, we don’t actually know the amount that transferred from the beta to the full game.

Blizzard Entertainment co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime explained with the following:

We poured a lot of effort into creating a game – and a new universe – that anyone could enjoy. We’re ecstatic to have had such a successful launch, and we’re looking forward to all of the fun, competition, and new content still to come.
