Blizzard has today confirmed that their latest game, Overwatch will be getting an open beta from May 5th to May 9th on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Those who pre-order before April 29th will also be able to start playing from May 3rd, and will have the ability to invite a friend to join them.

During the beta, players will get access to Overwatch’s fill roster of 21 characters, alongside every map that will be available at launch. However, progression, skins, rewards and levels will not carry forward to the full game.

Those on Xbox One will also need a Xbox Live Gold membership to play to open beta, and the full game, whilst those on PlayStation 4 will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription for the beta, but will need one at launch.
