Panasonic has today unveiled their latest super slim compact camera to hit stores, the XS3 which is a new camera that features a 14.1 million pixel MOS sensor, and is the upgrade to the XS1, which only packed a CCD sensor.

Alongside the sensor, the XS3 also includes a Venus Engine image processor, which will help with advanced noise reduction, it’s also capable of recording in Full HD and packs a Light Speed autofocus.

In terms of a lens, the XS3 lens boasts a f/2.6 maximum aperture and a 24mm wide-angle, as well as a 5x optical zoom.

There’s also a Creative Panorama function, with new filters for Retro, Expressive, Impressive Art and High Dynamic.

The price however for the Panasonic XS1 is yet to be confirmed, but it has been announced that it will be available from September.
