This week Panasonic launched their new Lumix DMC-GF8 single lens mirrorless camera, which features a 16 megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor, 3-inch 1040K-dot flappable LCD rear display and Panasonic’s Venus engine.
Panasonic says that this means the camera can produce images that are produced with “highly sharp resolution even shot in low-lit situations and even max.”
The camera also has an ISO setting of up to 25,000, a contrast type AF system and Full HD 1,920 x 1,080, 60Hz/ 50 Hz video recording.
This recording is also done in AVCHD progressive or MP4 and with stereo sound.
The camera also features an Intelligent Auto mode and a Scene Guide to make it easy to use for beginners, with support for interchangeable lens. The dial on the top also provides shortcuts for Portrait, Child and Scenery modes.
We don’t yet know the pricing or availability for the camera yet.
