After TechRadar leaked the camera earlier this month, Panasonic have decided to finally announce their latest camera to be added to the Lumix G series, dubbed the Panasonic Lumix GF6, it packs a new mode dial on the top, as well as a new vari-angle touch display on the back.

There’s also a new sensor, a 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor to be exact, which Panasonic promises to provide better performance and have less noise at higher ISO ranges, this coupled with the Venus engine, means the camera is a lot faster at processing images and autofocusing than before.

There’s even the addition of both NFC and WiFi technologies and 19 new filter effects.

The Panasonic Lumix GF6 will be available with a 14-42mm lens for £499 from late April, in either black or white in the UK, in other territories there will also be a red and brown version.
