At Photokina this week, Panasonic not only unveiled three new Lumix cameras but also teased the release of the GH5.

They provided a few specs about the follow-up to the GH4 this week, but unfortunately, they did not reveal any details about its release date or price, apart from that it is expected to be launched early next year.

The GH5 will be capable of recording 4K video at 60fps or 50fps, as well as 4:2:2 10-bit 4K video at 30p for awesome results, allowing it to extract 18MP still images with what Panasonic is claiming to be 6K Photo.

These 18MP images can be shown at either 4:3 or 3:2 ratios from any footage that was not captured during recording. even at 60fps.

But unfortunately, that’s all we know for now.

We will update you as soon as we hear more.
